This fountain pen is a lacquer fountain pen that expresses the traditional imaginary flower pattern called Ho-So-Ge with Chin-kin technique. The Chin-kin is one of the decoration techniques, in which a pattern is carved with a chisel, and after it is made, the pattern is drawn by filling it with gold, silver, or colored powder.
In addition, the Ho-So-Ge painted in the Chin-kin technique is a traditional decorative pattern found in ancient China and Japan, and is a stylized imaginary flower. This gorgeous and elegant pattern has been widely used in Buddhist art, architecture, and furnishings.
