Hyakko-Hisho is the compilation of information for all traditional crafts collected, organized and classified in 17-18 centuries. They are extremely valuable information in order to pass the reality of those craft technologies in those days down to this today. The materials for the information vary from paper, urushi, woods, dye, bamboo, ivory to metal and the number of those materials in total amounts to over 20,000.
Our Hyakko-Hisho fountain pens were created by getting inspiration for the historical value of the Hyakko-Hisho.
Many crafts inspired by the collection inherited through the years have been re-produced by masters in lacquer and our Hyakko-Hisho fountain pens will let you have firsthand knowledge of the history.

The designs of the Hyakko-Hisho fountain pens came from the designs for the scabbard of sward which Samurai (Japanese soldier) had. We project the manly appearance of the Samurai having his sward to the people of the day working hard having our Hyakko-Hisho fountain pen.
