Pearl Dawn Urushi Fountain pen

Taccia and Izumi Pen exclusively introduce the Miyabi Empress limited edition fountain pen, Pearl Dawn (Hakuro Asa). This pen, Taccia’s newest flagship design, is a limited edition of only 38 pens worldwide. Taccia’s lacquer artisans vividly render the beautiful scene of golden pink dawn spreading across the morning sky on the pen.

The artisans start with a pink raw lacquer base and intricately inlay strips of pink mother-of-pearl and white eggshell to evoke the early morning’s dawn light. Through multiple layers of lacquer and careful polishing, the fountain pen’s ebonite barrel is adorned using the Maki-e, Raden, and Rankaku techniques, a meticulous process that spans several months. The clip is also embellished with the Rankaku Maki-e technique.

The Taccia Miyabi Empress fountain pen features a large 18K gold (KOP) nib, exclusively made in Japan by Sailor for Taccia, and utilizes a cartridge/converter filling mechanism.

The grip section is hand-painted with a signature from the artist and its serial number. All Taccia products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
